Registered Nurse-to-Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN)
Faith-Based, Ministry-Minded, Professional Nursing Education
Nursing Program Highlights
The Barclay College online RN-BSN degree completion program is designed for associate degree or diploma-prepared RNs seeking to advance to a baccalaureate-level degree. The program can be completed in as little as two semesters.
High-Quality Program
Barclay College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the Department of Education. The program features highly-skilled faculty with over 40 years of combined nursing education experience and a low instructor-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized instruction and support.
Ministry-Minded Focus
The curriculum integrates faith into the program through the application of Biblical concepts in each nursing course. This integration allows students to explore the intersection of faith and healthcare, guiding them to provide compassionate, patient-centered care grounded in Christian values.
Professional Nursing Education
Professional nursing courses equip students for roles in nursing practice, leadership, management, research, and administration. These courses emphasize the development of critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and evidence-based practice to prepare students for the diverse challenges they will encounter in the healthcare field.
Clinical Learning Experiences
Clinical learning experiences occur in a practicum setting under the guidance of a preceptor. The student will select a qualified preceptor in alignment with course objectives, subject to instructor approval.
Practicum Location
The School of Nursing will collaborate with the student to secure practicum contracts nationwide. In rare cases, the student may be unable to finalize a contract with a facility due to state or facility-specific requirements. If an alternative site cannot be arranged at the student’s preferred location, a clinical site in Kansas will be provided. In such instances, the student will need to obtain a Kansas or multi-state license (Nurse Licensure Compact – NLC) and complete the practicum in Kansas.
Full-Time Online Student Scholarship
Students who take full-time online classes receive a $1,200 annual scholarship.
Regardless of financial situation, Barclay College strives to make education affordable in the chosen field of study. In addition to the Full-Time Online Student Scholarship, eligibility may extend to Federal Pell Grants and/or loans. Beginning the process early ensures completion of all requirements before classes start.
Admissions
In addition to meeting the general Admissions and Registration requirements at Barclay College, submission of the Nursing Program Application is required. This will initiate the enrollment process into the program. After submission of the Nursing Program Application, an Admission Counselor will provide guidance on the next steps to ensure a smooth transition into the program.
