What will a faith-based college offer me that is unique for the study of Criminal Justice?

The criminal justice system provides an exciting opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life and transform communities. It is an open door  you can use to bring the Kingdom of God into the lives of damaged people and broken communities.  Serving as a police officer, or in the courts, or in the correctional system is a great way to add value and wholeness in the world, to fulfill God’s call on your life, and challenge you in every way to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Quakers have a 400-year history of activity in this area that connects to modern-day justice work. Their contributions, as well as a biblical foundation, provide the basis for our emphasis on restorative justice, where people are reconciled and communities are transformed.

The curriculum at Barclay helped me build a foundation of what it means to have a correct relationship with God and with people. This foundation was then built upon by the interactions with both professors and my fellow students. I use aspects of my education through Barclay everyday as I work for His Kingdom.”
